Liberty Genome (2010)

The Liberty Genome Ski is a game changer. It is a refinement of the ultra-fat powder ski with full tip and tail rocker and a center section with camber and sidecut. It carves like a shorter, stiffer ski on the hardpack, but has incredible float in the deep, with a progressively softer rockered tip and tails. The tips and tails have also been elongated for a shallower angle of attack, leading to an incredibly smooth and effortless ride. At 141 mm underfoot, and with a slightly stiffer tail section, the Genome allows a more centered and athletic stance when riding or landing big drops. Want to smooth out mixed conditions? Smear turns down a big face? Land switch in bottomless powder? The Genome will change what is possible on skis.

HRC 48 Edges - Our new, specially treated HRC 48 edges feature a new wider profile with larger anchors for greater durability and longer life.
Cab 4 - Cab Forward Stance - Our name for a progressive, more centered stance needed for spinning or riding switch
78 Degree Sidewalls - Increase edge grip with the UHMW damping from our 78 degree sidewalls. Sidewall construction is tough and affords the best combination of edge grip and turning ease we have found.
FRP - Fiber Reinforced Polymer - We use mats of this dense material under the binding area to increase screw retention and add rigidity.
Bamboo - Laminated bamboo gives tremendous rebound and energy while being environmentally friendly.
UHMW Sidewalls - Rugged and repairable sidewall material with a layer of rubber above and below for smooth riding and durability. UHMW is tougher than ABS and can be repaired if you manage to gouge a hole in it.
P-Tex 2000 - Fast and durable sintered base from the industry leaders.
ISO - New co-extruded polyamide material is the best sublimated topsheet available.
Liberty Hard Core - Liberty Core with the addition of extra quadaxial fiber to increase torsional rigidity in our wider skis. This is ideal for the greater forces and higher speeds our wider skis encounter.
